Here’s how to pronounce Switzerland: The Swiss flag flies above a train station in Geneva, Switzerland, December 3, 2017.
The name of Switzerland, which means ‘the people of the Alps’ or ‘the People’s Republic of Switzerland’, was officially adopted in 1949, by then Swiss president Maximilian Breuer.
Swiss language, mind your language Switzerland has a population of just over 13 million.
Its capital, Geneva, is the third-largest city in the world, and its capital is the country’s most important international city.
But it has long been a sleepy country, and Switzerland has rarely been ranked among the top five most-visited countries in the World.
Although Switzerland was founded in 1883, its first president, Maximilien Schmitt, was born in 1885 in Switzerland.
For many years, Switzerland’s top-ranked city was Bern, where the former Swiss President Bernhard Goldschmidt still lives, and where he is currently based.
And while Swiss language is not officially taught in Swiss schools, the country still has a rich tradition of learning Swiss, which is why the Swiss capital has become the nation’s second-largest language.
A Swiss flag is seen flying in the canton of Bern, Switzerland December 3.
