ANAHEIM, Germany — A draft plan to expand the IndoPacific region’s Indo-China cultural exchange and cultural exchange programs has been released by the Indo–Pacific Council of Ministers.
The plan aims to provide opportunities for cultural exchanges across the region, according to the draft.
In addition, the draft proposes the establishment of a joint commission to explore the possible development of cultural exchanges in the Indo‐China region, which would be headed by the president of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), India.
Currently, the plan envisages the establishment in 2020 of the IndoChina Cultural Exchange and Cultural Exchange (ICSECE) Fund, which will provide funding for the cultural exchange projects.
“The IndoChina cultural community has become an important and important part of our lives,” said China’s Deputy Prime Minister Li Keqiang.
“I am glad that we have decided to take the first steps to establish the IndoChinese Cultural Exchange, which is an important part to the development of IndoChina.
This is a step in the right direction for the development and improvement of IndoChinese culture, Li added.
With the establishment and expansion of the Indian Indo-Chinese Cultural Trade, we hope that the IndoAsia will grow to become one of the largest Indo-European countries.”
According to the plan, the new fund will provide $1.4 billion over five years to the region to expand cultural exchanges and exchange activities.
It also proposes to create a joint board of advisors with the goal of developing Indo-Asean cultural exchange activities, with the help of other stakeholders, including Indian, Chinese, and Japanese organizations.
Among the potential beneficiaries of the new initiative is the IndoIranian Cultural Trade Alliance, which has already established itself as a leading Indian cultural organization, according the plan.
As part of its cultural exchange initiative, the Alliance has already announced that it will set up a cultural exchange center at the Indira Gandhi National Museum in New Delhi.
The plan is likely to be endorsed by the AIIB and India’s Ministry of External Affairs.
According to its website, the IndoAustralia-Indonesia Cultural Exchange & Cultural Exchange is one of four initiatives to promote cultural exchanges between the three nations, with a goal of strengthening intercultural understanding and deepening cooperation.
On June 10, 2015, the ASEAN Council of the Ministers approved the IndoPacific Cultural Exchange Initiative Agreement (IPCEI) between India and Indonesia.
